Values
At Accolade our principle of a forward-looking, person-centred approach following our THRIVE model underpins our mission to care and support, and shapes our approach working with children, young people and families to achieve positive outcomes.
We put emphasis on the importance of establishing the purpose of the support, setting realistic objectives, and identifying the expectations of all involved to ensure all support we provide continues to be positive and person-focused. From the point of referral to on-going care and support, we collaborate with both the individual receiving the support and other agencies, which enables us to stay responsive to the changing needs of the young person and remain consistently focused on them and their needs.
Accolade recognises how positive relationships can be one of the most pivotal therapeutic aids in recovering from adverse childhood experiences, and therefore operate within a whole team approach, aiding consistency and continuity to care and support of the children and young people enabling them to grow.
In doing so we support our young people to thrive, and our use of holistic formulations to manage risk and review predisposing, presenting, precipitating, perpetuating and protective factors allows us to create meaningful proactive and reactive measures, and negotiate targets to promote lasting change. All of which results in the care and support we provide to be genuinely shaped around the child as an individual.
